Lodestar motors are designed specifically for the entertainment industry and are custom prepped to customers specifications by TOMCAT. By maintaining a stock of most hoist sizes along with the chain and other parts, TOMCAT is able to respond to customers demands for the finest hoists, faster than anyone. Each Lodestar chain hoist comes in a standard black matte finish in either single phase or three phase models. Swivel hook suspensions are standard and latch-lock hooks are available for all models. To meet the requirements of the entertainment industry, each hoist is specifically designed to operate in the inverted position. It is preferred that the load always be tied off with auxiliary chains or cables before access to the area beneath the load is permitted. As an alternative, the system may be designed such that malfunction or failure of one hoist’s load bearing components does not cause load loss and/or overloading of any other hoist(s) in the system.
