Geometric uniform diffuser panel introduces an entirely new concept of pure diffusion into world of QRD’s. It is designed to reduce or eliminate absorption that inhibits efficiency of QRD’s, GuD panel produces brilliant, smooth diffusion characteristics over wide frequency range. ACAD technology of GuD panel allows low frequencies to view panel as specular reflection. This, in turn, increases efficiency greatly by eliminating wave disturbances caused by low frequencies. The result is smooth, linear rise in scattering with highest coefficients of any diffuser available. 2-inch GuD panel is effective at least full octave lower than any other QRD design. This enables us to achieve greater results with thinner panels than previously thought based on Schroeder’s equation. Absorption coefficient in operating range is believed to be primarily due to edge diffraction and does not affect efficiency of the unit. GuD panel is solid wood or GFRG product and is available in standard 1-inch and 2-inch thicknesses. Standard panel is 24” x 24” but can be designed to meet many different requirements.
