Nov. 9, 2022 - Vigan City, Philippines – The city government of Vigan, based at Vigan City Hall, recently upgraded to a DICENTIS wireless conference system from Bosch, having previously used a basic microphone/loudspeaker setup. Located on the western coast of Luzon Island in the Philippines and renowned for its Spanish colonial architecture, Vigan is the only city in the Philippines to be recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage City.
Specified and installed by intelligent building technology specialists Comsec iTech Corporation (Makati City, Philippines) with manufacturer support from Bosch project expert Arvin Servania, the new system features 41 wireless devices with long-stem microphones, along with a single wireless access point, recording software, Li-ion battery packs and chargers, and transport cases.
DICENTIS has an advanced yet simple-to-use feature set, with the flexibility to host local meetings as well as conferences with international delegates such as the UNESCO World Heritage Committee (WHC). In addition to enabling quick and easy transport and set-up at different sites, the system’s cable-free design also ensures the hardware does not compromise the aesthetics of the venue — an important consideration in a UNESCO World Heritage City. The system also addresses any health and safety concerns regarding microphone sharing among participants.
"The end-user easily adapted to the system due to the user-friendly menu that they can access via laptop or through their mobile phone or tablet," says Mr. Joven Cura, General Manager of Comsec iTech Corporation, "and the ease of installation for meetings outside the City Hall has made the Dicentis wireless conference system the ideal solution for Vigan City‘s upgrade."
