As governing body for the university, the Faculty Senate holds periodical board meetings to discuss and make decisions regarding academic policies and educational matters. Various voting processes may be used; in recent developments, the paper ballot and the “Show of hands” methods are being replaced by electronic voting technologies for improved voting management, results display and collection of data.
In this project, this University Faculty Senate had a need for an advanced voting system that would have a flush-mount fit in existing furniture. As a solution, Media Vision offered the TAIDEN HCS-3643 Series with 5 key voting buttons to implement parliamentary voting or other forms of vote. Via software, the university can create and display voting proposals, and display or save voting results in multiple formats.
