Multimedia Terminals with screens for Instructors at the podium position
The Council of the District of Columbia, the capital of the United States, has equipped its main council chamber and 3 hearing rooms with TAIDEN conference systems intended to improve public and member experience with increased intelligibility, technical capabilities, and flexibility.
For the main council chamber, a state of the art Multimedia Conference System was installed at each member’s seat at the dais. This all-in-one terminal has a microphone, onboard speaker, onboard camera, and 10” touchscreen; a tablet-like solution used for paperless document viewing, to access Internet, and to monitor live video feeds from other hearing rooms. The solution connects to a teleconferencing system to receive far-end audio. In addition, the Multimedia terminals offer a solution for remote testimony, they are used by members to see and be seen by those testifying via Skype.
Tabletop digital conference microphones were installed in 3 additional hearing rooms. Dedicated digital audio mixers were provided to perform effortless real-time volume adjustments without the need for a PC.
